    15 Sep 2020

Per capita income in Iran has fallen sharply in the last eight years. The record of the highest per

capita income in the country is related to 1390, when the share of each Iranian in the country's GDP was 7 million and 370 thousand tomans

But after that, we saw a decline in the country's per capita income, so that the estimate of the Parliamentary Research Center shows that last year the country's per capita income fell to the lowest level and reached 4 million and 870 thousand tomans.

The GDP per capita index is one of the most important components that is used to show the economic situation of a country and the improvement of this index indicates the appropriate situation of households, businesses and different parts of the country.

In short, per capita income is one of the most important criteria used to measure the economic well-being of a country. This variable, on the one hand, shows the share of each member of society in the country's GDP and on the other hand, indicates the ability to produce added value by the population of countries. On the other hand, many reputable international organizations use countries' per capita incomes to assess the well-being of households and the quality of living standards in different countries.

To calculate the per capita income of a country, the gross national income of that country is divided by the population of the country in a given year in the same year and the number obtained is the per capita income of the country. The per capita income in recent years clearly shows that the eleventh and twelfth governments have not performed well in this area.
